Rules and Regulations

Adršpach rocks with their size, concentration of rock formations, their relief and unique ecosystem represent an exceptional natural value. Therefore we ask you to accept with understanding the restrictions imposed by these rules, as well as the fact that you will pay a certain entrance fee. This will help ensure the restoration and necessary maintenance of the reservation.

Visitor Rules for the Guided Tour Route in the Adršpach-Teplice Rocks National Nature Reserve

(hereinafter referred to as „Visitor Rules“)

The Adršpach Rocks, with their size, concentration of rock formations, relief, and unique ecosystem, represent an exceptional natural value. We kindly ask you to accept the restrictions imposed by legal regulations and these Visitor Rules, as well as the obligation to pay an entrance fee. By doing so, you contribute to the restoration and necessary maintenance of the reserve. The operator of the guided tour route in the Adršpach-Teplice Rocks National Nature Reserve (also referred to as „NNR“) is Technické služby Adršpach, s.r.o., based at Horní Adršpach 128, 549 52 Adršpach, Company ID: 252 99 115 (hereinafter referred to as „Operator of the Guided Tour Route“).

  1. Visitors to the NNR are required to comply with the legal regulations of the Czech Republic, especially the provisions of Act No. 114/1992 Coll., on the Protection of Nature and the Landscape, as amended (hereinafter „ZOPK“), Act No. 289/1995 Coll., on Forests, as amended, Decree No. 157/1991 on the Establishment of the Broumovsko Protected Landscape Area, as amended, and the provisions of these Visitor Rules.
  2. The guided tour route is accessible year-round. In winter months, it is restricted to sections under maintenance. Entry to the route is at the information center. The ticket office for the boat ride on the Rock Lake is at its access staircase.
  3. Visitors are only allowed to move along the marked tourist paths. Entering and moving off the marked routes is prohibited. Visitors are required to follow the written and verbal instructions of the staff of the Operator of the Guided Tour Route, forest rangers, nature protection authorities, and rock administration workers.
  4. By voluntarily entering the NNR, the visitor gives consent to the Operator of the Guided Tour Route, in accordance with § 84 of Act No. 89/2021 Coll., the Civil Code, to take and use photographs and audio, video, or audiovisual recordings capturing their appearance for marketing, commercial, and promotional purposes related to the Adršpach Rocks. Detailed information about the granted consent, as well as the related processing of personal data, can be found in the document „Consent to the Creation and Use of Recordings“.
  5. Individuals entering the guided tour routes outside the ticket office areas do so at their own risk.
  6. If the ticket office or information center is open, visitors are required to purchase an entry ticket.
  7. The escort of a holder of the ZTP-P card is entitled to free entry. Larger groups can request guided tours in advance.
  8. Children under the age of 15 cannot enter the guided tour route without an adult companion and must be supervised by an adult throughout the visit.
  9. It is forbidden to bring weapons, explosives, flammable substances, fireworks, psychotropic or toxic substances, and other dangerous objects that could cause harm to health or property onto the guided tour route.
  10. Consumption of alcohol and other intoxicating or addictive substances is strictly prohibited on the guided tour route. Visitors who are intoxicated or under the influence of narcotics will not be allowed entry to the guided tour route.
  11. By entering the guided tour route, visitors acknowledge and agree that they are responsible for any costs incurred in connection with the intervention of the Integrated Rescue System (e.g., firefighters, medical rescue services, Czech Police) due to their behavior under the influence of alcohol or narcotics.
  12. Climbers are required to follow the rules of sport climbing as specified in the Climbing Rules in Sandstone Rock Areas in the Czech Republic.
  13. A single entry ticket purchased when entering the Teplice Rocks is valid when passing through the Wolf Gorge and also in the Adršpach Rocks, and vice versa, a ticket from the Adršpach Rocks after passing through the Wolf Gorge is valid also in the Teplice Rocks. However, after leaving the route, the ticket loses its validity. Visitors without a valid ticket will be sold a replacement ticket upon inspection.
  14. Swimming is prohibited in the flooded area of the former sandpit.
  15. On the entire territory of the NNR, the following actions are prohibited:
    • damaging operational equipment, railings, stairs, benches, signage, and information boards;
    • damaging rocks by writing or carving inscriptions;
    • pulling out tree seedlings, picking plants, or capturing wild animals;
    • smoking, making fires, camping, or bivouacking;
    • polluting the tour routes and their surroundings with litter;
    • allowing dogs to roam freely;
    • riding horses or bicycles (also applies to the prohibition of walking a bike alongside) except on designated trails;
    • disturbing the peace and quiet;
    • walking off the marked trails;
    • flying drones.
  16. Employees of the Operator of the Guided Tour Route – security service and workers of the rock administration are authorized to inspect tickets.
  17. In the case of violation of any obligation set forth in this Visitor Rules, the Operator of the Guided Tour Route has the right to sanction the visitor with a fine of up to 10,000 CZK for each individual violation and to remove the visitor from the guided tour route.
  18. For the safety of visitors on the guided tour route, the smooth flow of visitors on the route, to prevent excessive negative effects of visitor movement on the NNR as a whole, as well as for effective resolution of emergency situations on the route, it is prohibited to organize, arrange, conduct, or participate in a group tours (i.e., groups of 10 or more visitors) of the guided tour route without prior confirmation of the group tour reservation from the Operator of the Guided Tour Route, which can be obtained via a special booking form on the website www.adrspasskeskaly.cz/skupiny-rezervace under the conditions specified on the website www.adrspasskeskaly.cz/skupiny. A person conducting a group tour without prior confirmation of the reservation may be removed from the guided tour route by the workers of the rock administration and/or the security service without compensation for the paid entrance fee, and at the same time, this person must pay the Operator of the Guided Tour Route a contractual penalty of 5,000 CZK, which is due at the time of violation of the prohibition under this paragraph and does not exclude the right to claim full compensation for damages. In the case of repeated violations of the prohibition under this paragraph, the person organizing, arranging, and/or conducting group tours without prior confirmation of the group tour reservation from the Operator of the Guided Tour Route may be prohibited from entering the guided tour route for up to 3 years.
  19. By purchasing an entry ticket, you agree to the provisions of these Visitor Rules. By adhering to the visiting conditions, you help preserve the unique natural environment of the Adršpach-Teplice Rocks for future generations of visitors, for which the Operator of the Guided Tour Route thanks you.
  20. The Operator of the Guided Tour Route reserves the right to remove from the guided tour route any visitor who violates the rules established by this Visitor Rules, without any compensation for the purchased ticket. In the case of repeated violations of the rules of this Visitor Rules, the Operator of the Guided Tour Route reserves the right to deny entry to the given person for up to 3 years from the last violation of these rules, also without compensation for any purchased ticket.

CONSENT TO THE RECORDING AND USE OF IMAGES AND FOOTAGE

By voluntarily entering the premises of the tour circuit in the Adršpach-Teplice Rocks National Nature Reserve (hereinafter referred to as the „NRR“) the visitor grants consent to Technické služby Adršpach, s. r. o., with its registered office at Horní Adršpach 128, 549 52 Adršpach, Company ID: 252 99 115 (hereinafter referred to as the „Tour Circuit Operator“) in accordance with Section 84 of Act No. 89/2021 Coll., the Civil Code, as amended (hereinafter referred to as the „Civil Code“), for the recording and further use of photographs and audio, video, or audiovisual recordings capturing their likeness (hereinafter referred to as „Recordings“). These Recordings may be used for marketing, commercial purposes, and the promotion of the Adršpach Rocks, as well as for the promotion of the Tour Circuit Operator.

Recordings may be published, for example, on social media, the websites of the Adršpach Rocks or the Tour Circuit Operator, and in marketing materials of the Adršpach Rocks or the Tour Circuit Operator.

The consent given under Section 84 of the Civil Code for the recording and use of Recordings is granted to the Tour Circuit Operator for a period of five years. The visitor is entitled to withdraw this consent at any time. If the withdrawal of consent is not justified by a substantial change in circumstances or another reasonable cause, the visitor shall be liable, in accordance with Section 87(2) of the Civil Code, for any damages incurred by the Tour Circuit Operator as a result of the withdrawal of consent.

Some Recordings may contain personal data, particularly by capturing the likeness of an individual in a way that makes them identifiable. The Tour Circuit Operator processes such personal data of NNR visitors as the data controller under Article 4(7) of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation) (hereinafter referred to as the „Regulation“).

The Tour Circuit Operator processes Recordings for the purpose of marketing, commerce, and the promotion of the Adršpach Rocks, as well as for the promotion of the Tour Circuit Operator. Personal data is processed by the Tour Circuit Operator based on legitimate interest under Article 6(1)(f) of the Regulation, which is the interest of the Tour Circuit Operator in informing the public about the Adršpach Rocks and promoting the Adršpach Rocks and the Tour Circuit Operator.

Personal data is processed for the duration for which the visitor has granted consent for the use of Recordings under Section 84 of the Civil Code.

The Tour Circuit Operator processes personal data lawfully, fairly, and transparently. Data is collected for specified, explicit, and legitimate purposes. The Tour Circuit Operator ensures that personal data is accurate and updated as necessary. All reasonable measures have been taken to promptly erase or rectify inaccurate personal data concerning the purposes for which it is processed.

The visitor has the right to request information and access to personal data in accordance with Articles 13 and 14 of the Regulation, particularly the right to:

  • be informed about the identity and specific details of the data controller,
  • be informed of the purposes of processing for which personal data is processed,
  • access personal data,
  • rectify, supplement, update, delete, or restrict the processing of personal data,
  • terminate the processing of personal data.

The visitor may also object to processing. If processing is based on consent (Article 6(1)(a) or Article 9(2)(a) GDPR), the data subject has the right to withdraw consent without affecting the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal.

If the visitor believes that their data is being processed by the Tour Circuit Operator in violation of legal regulations, they may file a complaint with the supervisory authority – the Office for Personal Data Protection. However, for the quickest resolution, we recommend first contacting the Tour Circuit Operator.
